There has been no consideration of canceling the 2020 Northwest Kansas District Free Fair (August 1st-8th) at this point. In fact, all the entertainment was booked before the pandemic. The NWKS Fair Board and Home-owned Carnival Group continue to put in countless volunteer hours preparing for the upcoming fair and carnival season. Obviously, this is all subject to change. We will continue to work together and monitor the situation and post any further developments. As of today, fair will go on as scheduled. Ride the Tide to the County Fair (2020 Fair Theme)!
Attention Livestock Buyers and Sherman County 4-H Members:
4-H Livestock Sale time has been changed from 5:30 pm MT to 6:00 pm MT.
The NWKS Fair Board has been notified by many of the area meat processing lockers that they are highly recommending you call and make an appointment for any processing you would like done. The likelihood of a batch processing immediately following the 2020 Sherman County 4-H Livestock Sale (and possibly future years) is unlikely. This is due to many reasons. The NWKS Fair Board will continue to make transportation arrangements to a sale barn. NWKS Fair Board transportation arrangements to meat processing lockers are currently unknown. Transportation coordination between buyer and seller may be required. The 2020 4-H Livestock Sale – Buyer Help Sheet can be found below.
