Each year 4-H'ers and Open Class Exhibitors showcase their projects they have completed over the past year. For rules, entry deadlines, and more please refer to the Fair Book.
Pre-entry in some areas are required and due to the Sherman County Extension Office on or before the designated deadline. Please refer to the fair book for areas that require pre-entries and deadlines. Exhibit cards or tags must be filled out for each entry. 4-H and Open Class tags may be obtained at the Sherman County Extension Office before the fair. The entry schedule in the fair book lists the dates and times for entering exhibits.
Judging of exhibits will take place the week before fair and the week of fair. Please refer to the fair book or fair schedule for judging dates and times.
There is a universal release time from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. on the final Saturday of fair. All articles must be claimed by 9:00 a.m. The Extension Office and Fair Board will not be held responsible for picking up articles not claimed.
In no event shall the Northwest Kansas District Free Fair Association be held responsible for any loss or damage to the property or person of exhibitor or other persons while on the fairgrounds whether said loss or damage shall arise from accident or any cause whatsoever.
All premiums may be picked up at the time of scheduled exhibit removal. Open Class and 4-H will receive their checks from the Fair Office near the entrance to the grandstands. All unclaimed checks will be in the Extension Office for 3 weeks following the fair. At this time, they will be turned over to the Fair Board. All checks will be void 90 days after fair.
